The Dem Who Cried Wolf! Rep. Adam Schiff’s latest doomsday warning predicts ‘chaos’ in GOP-led house: previously convicted of promoting debunked Steele dossier and leading failed Trump impeachments
- Democrat Adam Schiff said Sunday that he believes a Republican majority in the House will lead to “chaos.”
- In an interview, he agreed with an ABC News anchor that he could face removal from the House Intelligence Committee, which he currently chairs.
- Schiff was one of the leading defenders of the now-discredited Steele dossier that made allegations of collusion between Trump and the Russian government.

Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff said in an interview Sunday morning that under Republican leadership the House of Representatives would be “chaos.”
Schiff, known for his melodramatic pronouncements, made the doomsday prediction when asked about his possible removal from the House Intelligence Committee, which he currently chairs, in an interview on ABC News’ This Week.
Schiff is a high-profile Democratic lawmaker who has made similarly cynical accusations about Trump’s collusion with Russia. Many of those allegations were corroborated by the Steele dossier, many of which have now been found to be false.
Schiff also went into a fair frenzy during the two impeachment trials against Donald Trump, neither of which were successful.
The Republican Party narrowly won the House after midterm elections earlier this month in which a ‘red wave’ was predicted, but Republican gains were lower than expected.
Schiff’s position on the intelligence committee may now be precarious as Republican leader Kevin McCarthy has ambitions to become the next speaker. He has said that if that happens, Schiff would be stripped of his role on the committee.
Due to the slim Republican majority in the House, Schiff argued that for McCarthy to win the votes he will need to become president, he will have to appeal to even the most extreme members of the party.
“Well, I suspect he’s going to do whatever Marjorie Taylor Greene wants him to do,” Schiff said in the interview Sunday morning.

Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (pictured) has ambitions of becoming the next speaker and has said Schiff would be stripped of his intelligence committee seat if that happens.
In Sunday’s interview, Schiff added that McCarthy “is a very weak leader of his conference, which means he’s going to stick to the wishes of the lowest common denominator, and if that lowest common denominator wants to get people out of committees, that’s it.” what they will do.” do.’
Schiff continued: ‘It’s going to be chaos with a Republican leadership, and unfortunately the kind of crazy group has grown among the Republicans.
“A lot of the Republicans who have won primaries in deeply red districts are coming to Congress,” referring to members like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar.
Controversial Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene was a favorite of the Trump administration.
She said that before the Republican capture of the House, if control were won, investigations would be held into the FBI, the Justice Department and the Biden administration.
Schiff’s doomsday predictions come despite criticism he has faced for promoting Steel’s discredited dossier that alleged that Trump had colluded with Russia before his 2016 election campaign.
Last month, a jury in Virginia acquitted Russian analyst Igor Danchenko of all charges of lying to the FBI in its investigation into the dossier.

Schiff is currently Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.
