
Detectives searching for a real estate agent who disappeared from Sydney more than eight days ago have made a breakthrough after receiving a tip about her possible whereabouts.
Leesa Forrest, 28, who lives in Newport on the city’s northern beaches, last spoke to someone at about 12:30 a.m. last week but was unable to return to work or her home.
Her phone was off and her Facebook account was disabled, leading police and her family to worry about her well-being.
Northern Beaches Police revealed on Thursday that they had received information that Ms Forrest was in a town in regional NSW.
Leesa Forrest, 28, who lives in Newport, in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, was last spoken to at around 12:30 a.m. last Wednesday.
While police did not reveal the location, they said they do not consider the disappearance suspicious.
“Police are no longer concerned about Ms Forrest’s well-being and well-being,” the spokesman told the Daily Telegraph on Thursday.
Daily Mail Australia understands that police have not yet physically located Ms Forrest and are still in the process of making contact with her.
The last confirmed sighting of Ms Forrest was at her workplace with Ray White in Narrabeen, but her phone has since been turned off and no one has heard from her since.
One family member said, “She just needs to get in touch with someone from the family to let us know she’s okay!” Not in trouble.’
Her landlord also said she hadn’t been home for the past week.
“Police and family are deeply concerned for her well-being as her disappearance is not in keeping with her character,” the NSW Police said in a statement.

Leesa Forrest’s boss at Ray White Narrabeen, Michael Ferguson, described her as “a lovely girl and a very nice person.”
“Obviously we are all very concerned about where she is,” he told Daily Mail Australia.
Mr Ferguson said he could not comment on what Ms Forrest may have been wearing or doing when she was last seen.
Ms. Forrest’s profile on the brokerage firm’s website is filled with glowing customer testimonials.
One couple said Mrs. Forrest found perfect buyers for their home.
“She had found the perfect buyers with a price above the asking price. We can’t thank Leesa enough for helping us buy our dream home. Great experience overall!’ They wrote.
Another customer described Ms. Forrest as “amazing.”

“She arranged everything we needed to do the property prior to the listing, kept us updated the entire time and helped us land a great price,” they said.
One homeowner said she was a “pleasure” to work with.
“She was sincere and always had a professional and friendly demeanor. Very quick to respond to any questions we had during the process. We would highly recommend Leesa for her services,” their review read.
Mrs. Forrest is described as having a white appearance, a slim build and blonde hair.
She is believed to drive a white Holden Cruze with NSW plates BJ-58-QQ, and is known to regularly visit Newport and Narrabeen.
Pictures of Ms Forrest on social media show her celebrating Christmas in 2021 with her sister and parents in Bawley Point, near the NSW south coast.
Other snaps show Ms. Forrest posing happily with her sister Lauren, with one shot showing the officer hugging her sibling while spinning a fire stick.
Her father Steve’s profile picture is a picture of his two daughters when they were in elementary school.
